6IX Health & Safety Guidelines

1. Arrive early, no late entry is permitted!

With your safety at the forefront of every decision we are encouraging everyone to show up no more than 10 minutes before class start to allow the previous class to exit the studio fully and for proper cleaning between classes. We will be closing class sign-up, waitlist included, 30 minutes prior to the start of class. No late entry will be permitted, no exceptions. We need your energy throughout the class, so we ask that you please stay in the room until the end of the stretch.

2. Come dressed for success... ready to sweat! Limited amenities available until further notice

Please arrive ready to sweat and bring only the essentials with you (phone, keys, full water bottle). We kindly ask that you wear a mask or face covering during check in and upon exiting the studio, you can remove it to ride once you get to your bike. Unfortunately, amenities such as lockers, water fountains, change rooms and showers will be unavailable until further notice. A bin to store your belongings is available for use beside your bike, 6IX Cycle will still provide you with shoes and towels. We have removed all high-touch items from the common spaces; however, hair elastics and ear plugs will be available at the front desk. Please note that when wearing our shoes, socks are mandatory. We have bottled water and socks available for purchase at the front desk if needed.

3. New to 6IX? Prepare for your class in advance

For your safety (and ours) we will not be able to assist with bike set up for new riders. When you book a class at 6IX Cycle you will receive a confirmation email with a link to a bike set-up video. Please watch our Bike Set-Up Tutorial prior to arrival so that you are prepared to clip in for class.

4. Please adhere to physical distancing both in and out of the studio

When you arrive to check in, you will find distancing markers on the ground both inside and outside of the studio. Please practice and follow physical distancing when in the studio space, using the distance markers. We kindly ask that you wear a mask or face covering during check-in and upon exiting the studio.

5. Contactless check-in, bike booking and studio flow

Due to quick turn-around times between classes, we ask that you arrive at the studio no more than 10 minutes prior to class start time. When arriving at the studio please have your mobile app open with the appropriate class sign in bar code. Once you scan the bar code at the front desk to check-in for class, we ask that you please remove your outdoor shoes and head directly to your assigned bike. No app? No problem, check-in can still be completed verbally. We have re-positioned the bikes in the studio and added physical barriers to adhere to government distancing standards. Your shoes, towel and preferred weights will be waiting for you on your assigned bike, as well as a bin for your belongings. Please enter the spin room through the front doors and exit using the back door in single file, wearing a mask and sanitizing your hands upon entry and exit.

6. Waitlist and walk-ins

If you are on the waitlist and a bike becomes available, you will receive a notification by email up to 30 minutes prior to class time. No walk-ins, please.

7. 6IX Cycle is now cash-less

For safety reasons, 6IX Cycle will no longer be accepting cash payments. We have contactless payment options at the front desk using credit, debit or tap.

New Safety Protocols

Staff Safety

All 6IX Cycle staff will be required to wear face masks and, at times, gloves while in studio. Masks and gloves will be replaced as needed after studio cleaning.

Bike Set Up

We are committed to providing the best in-studio experience possible but for our safety (and yours) we will not be assisting with bike set up. If you are unsure how to set up your bike, please watch our Bike Set-Up Tutorial.

Instructor Safety

As much as we love a good sweaty high-five or post-class hug, our instructors will be limiting physical interactions with the community. Please save your post-class questions and comments for the DM’s.

Enhanced Cleaning & Sanitization

After every class we will thoroughly disinfect common spaces and bathrooms. All bikes and barriers in studio will be thoroughly disinfected after each class, even if not in use.  All hand weights and shoes will be thoroughly disinfected after class. For your comfort, disinfecting wipes will also be available for your use in-studio. We have installed self-cleaning nanoSeptic touch points on all high-touch surfaces such as door handles.

Amenities

High-touch amenities such as lockers and showers will not be available at this time. Our water fountains will be off limits, we have water available for purchase at the front desk if needed. Hand sanitizer stations are placed throughout the studio and inside the spin room.

Ventilation & Airflow

Our HVAC systems are commercial grade units that are regularly serviced and maintained. We operate two ERV units that exhaust high volumes of air from the spin room while replacing it with fresh air from outside on a continuous basis.

Physical Distance & Respect the Safety of Others

Please practice and follow physical distancing when in the studio space, using the distance markers placed around the studio to respect the safety of others. We kindly ask that you wear a mask or face covering during check-in and upon exiting the studio.

If you don’t feel well, have a fever, cough or any symptoms of COVID-19 please refrain from booking into a class or coming into the studio until you are cleared to do so and are symptom-free.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has or have travelled out of province, we ask that you do not come into the studio for 14 days OR until you have received negative test results for COVID-19.

Please remember that you are attending classes at your own risk. By choosing to attend classes at 6IX Cycle, even with the additional safety and sanitization measures we have implemented, you are accepting the additional risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
